Let's learn some more words that will help you out in an office environment. We're going to learn to say things like:
Puis-je te poser une question sur ces chiffres des ventes ? (Can I just ask you a question about these sales figures?)
Nous envisageons de nous développer aux États-unis dans les 3 ans. (We plan to expand to the U.S. within 3 years.)

Let's have another look at all the words we've learned before we practise some more:

We talked about having concurrents in business (competitors), but you can also say that a market or industry is concurrentiel (competitive) if there are lots of companies in competition with each other.
Nous travaillons dans un secteur très concurrentiel. (We work in a highly competitive industry.)
Ce marché est très concurrentiel. (This market is very competitive.)

Amir: Sais-tu quel est le sujet de cette réunion ?

Amir: Do you know what this meeting is about?

Sita: Je pense que l’équipe commerciale va présenter sa stratégie pour se développer en Amérique du Sud.

Sita: I think the sales team are going to present their strategy for expanding to South America.

Amir: Ah vraiment ? Mais certains de nos concurrents n'opèrent-ils pas en Amérique du Sud ?

Amir: Oh really? Don't some of our competitors function in South America, though?

Sita: Si, mais ils ont analysé certains chiffres et réalisé des études de marché et la situation a l’air prometteuse pour nous.

Sita: Yes, but they've analysed some figures and done some market research, and it looks promising for us.

Amir: D'accord! Eh bien, la performance de l’entreprise a été bonne ces derniers temps. J’imagine que c’est le moment idéal pour se développer.

Amir: Ok! The business' performance has been good lately. I imagine that this is the right time to expand.
