Here's a tip

In this lesson we're going to learn how to talk about computers. First we'll learn the vocabulary associated with the different parts of a computer, then we'll talk more about programmes and software.

Dialogue

Pietro: Notre nouvelle stagiaire, Emma, commence lundi. Nous préparons son bureau.

Pietro: Our new intern, Emma, is starting on Monday. We're just setting up her desk.

Corinna: Ok, de quoi as-tu besoin ? A-t-elle son propre ordinateur portable ?

Corinna: Ok, what do you need? Does she have her own laptop?

Pietro: Elle dit que le sien est très lent. Il faudra lui en fournir un.

Pietro: She says hers is very slow. We'll need to provide one.

Corinna: D’accord. Autre chose ?

Corinna: Ok, anything else?

Pietro: Elle aura besoin d’un clavier et d’un téléphone aussi.

Pietro: She'll need a keyboard and a phone as well.

Corinna: Elle ne peut pas utiliser son portable ?

Corinna: Can she not use her mobile?

Pietro: Elle ne préfère pas utiliser son téléphone personnel.

Pietro: She prefers not to use her personal phone.

Corinna: D’accord, je vais essayer d’en trouver un.

Corinna: Ok, I'll try and find a spare.
