On your first day, someone will usually show you around your new workplace. Here are some of the phrases you might hear. C'est ton bureau. (This is your desk.) C'est la salle de pause. (This is the break room.) Les toilettes sont là-bas. (The toilets are over there.)

Dialogue

Eva: Bonjour ! Je m'appelle Eva, je suis la nouvelle stagiaire du service marketing.

Eva: Hi! I'm Eva, the new marketing intern.

Peter: Bonjour Eva. Ravi de vous rencontrer ! Bienvenue à Encom.

Peter: Hello Eva. Nice to meet you. Welcome to Encom.

Eva: Dans quel service est-ce que vous travaillez?

Eva: Which department do you work in?

Peter: Je travaille dans le service des ventes. Je travaille ici depuis quatre ans environ. Où travailliez-vous avant ?

Peter: I work in the sales department, I've been working here for around 4 years. Where did you work before?

Eva: Oh, je viens tout juste d'obtenir mon diplôme. C'est mon premier travail.

Eva: Oh, I just graduated. This is my first job.
